As part of the “मेरी Shiksha” initiative, the Placement and Higher Education (P.H.E.) Committee of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts & Commerce hosted an insightful session titled "Global Strategic Alliances: North-South Challenges & Opportunities" on Tuesday, 29th July 2025. Designed for final-year students of B.M.S., B.Com., and B.Com. (A&F), the session shed light on the complexities and potentials of strategic collaborations between the Global North and South. Mr. David Ward, Associate Dean (Global) at the Faculty of Business and Law, University of Portsmouth (UK), led the session with enriching discussions on cross-border partnerships, key challenges, and successful case studies. With 62 students in attendance, the session encouraged global thinking through real-world examples and introduced students to academic prospects at the University of Portsmouth. Interactive Q&A and thought-provoking insights made it a valuable platform for expanding horizons and shaping globally informed career paths.

Empowering students with opportunities, shaping futures with success

The Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) Cell of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts & Commerce organized a placement drive for Tata Consultancy Services for Third Year students of B.A.F., B.M.S., B.Com., and B.A. (Batch 2026). The selection process consisted of an Aptitude Test followed by an HR interview round. A large number of students participated with great enthusiasm and demonstrated strong performance in both stages. Out of all the candidates, 30 students were successfully selected. The Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) Cell of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts & Commerce organized the “Campus to Corporate (Technical Job Fair)” for Third Year B.Sc. IT and B.Sc. CS students (Batch 2026). A total of 160 students participated in the recruitment drive, which included an Aptitude Test followed by an HR Round. The event offered valuable exposure to corporate hiring practices and helped students evaluate their skills and readiness. Several participants were successfully selected for HR roles, making the initiative a success and effectively bridging the gap between academic learning and professional career opportunities. Committee of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts & Commerce, in association with TNS India Foundation, organized a one-day Job Fair titled “Campus to Corporate” for current third-year students. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between academics and industry by creating meaningful placement opportunities for students from diverse streams. Twelve reputed companies participated, offering roles across various sectors. Students from BA, BAMMC, B.Com, B.A.F, and B.M.S actively took part in the recruitment process. The Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) Committee of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts & Commerce organized a two-day job fair titled “Campus to Corporate” for final-year students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various departments, along with students from colleges across Mumbai, including postgraduates and the 2025 batch. Fifteen reputed companies took part, offering diverse roles across multiple sectors. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing meaningful placement opportunities and enhancing employability. Tecido Global company - Placement drive

The Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) Committee of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts & Commerce organized a one-day Campus Placement Drive for Tecido Global Company for FY and SY students (internships) and TY students (placements). The program began with an insightful pre-placement talk by Ms. Priti Bhandari (Co-Founder) and Mr. Harsh Panchal (Social Media Manager), introducing students to the company and available roles. The selection process included a Personal Interview round, where candidates were evaluated for positions such as Product Research Intern, Business Development and Marketing, AI Expert, and Social Media Expert. The session began with an introduction by Founder Ms. Nirali Pandya and Sales Head Ms. Nirali Parekh, followed by an informative pre-placement talk about the organization, its culture, and career prospects. Students participated in a Personal Interview round for internship roles, gaining hands-on recruitment experience. The Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) Cell organized a Pre-Placement Talk for Third-Year B.Sc. (IT) and B.Sc. (CS) students in the Seminar Hall. Representatives from SilverLink Technologies, including Mr. Amir Ansari (Delivery Head), Ms. Gauri Singh (Senior IT Recruiter), and Ms. Purva Surve (Senior HR Executive), provided insights into the company, recruitment process, and essential skills required from fresh graduates. The session also focused on the IT Technical Recruiter profile, helping students understand career expectations. Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts and Commerce successfully organized the Global Education Fair, bringing together representatives from over 12 international universities. The event welcomed more than 500 students from Arts, Commerce, and Science streams, providing valuable one-on-one interactions with global education experts. Attendees explored international courses, career pathways, scholarships, and opportunities for studying abroad, gaining clarity and confidence about their academic futures. The fair served as an enriching platform that empowered students to connect, engage, and make informed decisions about global education. Third Year In-House Training: From Learning to Leading

The Placement and Higher Education Cell of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts and Commerce successfully conducted a Third Year In-House Training Programme for final-year undergraduate students to enhance employability and industry readiness. The department-wise sessions covered T.Y.B.A., T.Y.B.A.M.M.C., T.Y.B.C.O.M., T.Y.B.M.S., T.Y.B.A.F., T.Y.B.Sc. (I.T.), and T.Y.B.Sc. (C.S.), providing four hours of structured training to each group. The programme focused on soft skills development, ATS-based resume building, aptitude training, and corporate communication. Expert trainers guided students on professional etiquette, interview strategies, and workplace behavior, benefiting over 240 students by boosting confidence, communication, analytical abilities, and corporate preparedness.(Event Date - 25th October 2025)

The Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) Committee conducted a two-day Campus Placement Drive with Quantiphi for Third-Year B.Sc. (I.T.) and B.Sc. (C.S.) students (Batch 2025–26). The drive began with an introduction of the HR team, followed by an engaging Pre-Placement Talk by Mr. Swapnil Joshi (Portfolio Leader) and Mr. Bhupender Singh (Senior Partner – University Relations), highlighting Quantiphi’s work culture and career opportunities. Students then participated in an Aptitude Test for the role of Framework Engineer. Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts and Commerce successfully hosted a placement drive in collaboration with Housiey. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from final-year students and began with a Pre-Placement Talk by company representatives, providing insights into organizational culture, roles, and career opportunities. Candidates then participated in a Group Discussion round to assess communication skills, analytical thinking, and teamwork. Shortlisted students advanced to the Personal Interview stage, where their knowledge and job readiness were evaluated. On 28th June 2025, the P.H.E. Committee hosted a Campus Recruitment Drive for the 2025–26 academic year, conducted by USDC Pvt. Ltd. The drive was open to graduates from all streams. It began with a Pre-Placement Talk followed by two interview rounds to evaluate the candidates. The initiative offered students a platform to transition from academics to professional careers.

Campus to Corporate - The Job Fair

On February 25th and 26th, 2025, the Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) Committee successfully organized "Campus to Corporate – The Job Fair" for the 2024-25 academic year. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between students and recruiters by providing a structured platform for employment opportunities and career growth. The job fair saw enthusiastic participation from over 1,000 students across various disciplines, along with 20+ well-known companies from different industries. The event was conducted in both on-campus and off-campus modes, to provide maximum accessibility and interactions for students and recruiters. To ensure the hiring experience and ensure a smooth selection process, the job fair included multiple recruitment stages such as: 1. Pre-placement talks, where companies introduced their profiles, work culture, and job roles. 2. Group discussion rounds, assessing candidates’ communication and teamwork skills. 3. Personal interview rounds, allowing recruiters to evaluate individual competencies. 4. Virtual technical tests, enabling companies to assess technical proficiency efficiently. The event reinforced TRCAC’s commitment to student career development and strengthened its collaborations with industry partners.

Mega Recruitment Drive - Infosys

On January 20th and 21st, 2025, the Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) Committee organized a Mega Recruitment Drive for the 2024-25 academic year. Conducted by Infosys Pvt. Ltd., the drive was open to final-year students from B.Sc. (I.T.), B.Sc. (C.S.), and other B.Sc. programs. The two-day event began with a Pre-Placement Talk and an Aptitude Test on the first day, followed by a Personal Interview on the second day.

Campus to Corporate - The Job Fair, held on 13th December 2024 at Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts & Commerce, was a dynamic and impactful event aimed at connecting students with leading industry recruiters. The Placement & Higher Education Cell, in collaboration with the TNS Foundation, organized an event that offered students a valuable opportunity to explore diverse career paths, enhance their employability skills, and connect with professionals from various industries. The job fair saw remarkable success, with 100 students successfully placed in top-tier companies, reflecting the strength of the college’s placement initiatives.

Exploring Global Education Opportunities: Shaping Futures at the Global University Fair

The Placement and Higher Education (P.H.E.) Committee of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts & Commerce (TRCAC) organized the “Global University Fair” as part of the “मेरी Shiksha” initiative for T.Y.B.M.S., T.Y.B.Com., and T.Y.B.Com. (A&F) students on 30th November 2024 at The St. Regis Mumbai. This event, one of the largest university fairs in Mumbai, provided students with the opportunity to explore higher education opportunities in countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Dubai, the USA, New Zealand, Canada, and more. The primary objective of the session was to offer clear insights into higher education options globally and guide students in making informed decisions about their future academic pursuits. The event featured distinguished speakers who shared their expertise in higher education, offering valuable insights and fostering discussions. Engaging interactive sessions allowed participants to exchange ideas, while the collaborative environment encouraged networking and learning opportunities. A total of 166 students from T.Y.B.M.S. (57 students), T.Y.B.Com. (54 students), and T.Y.B.Com. (A&F) (55 students) benefitted from this session, gaining crucial knowledge about global education opportunities.

Guiding Future Leaders: Shaping Careers with Expert Insights in MBA/PGPM

On 2nd December 2024, the Placement and Higher Education (P.H.E.) committee organized a Career Guidance Session on MBA/PGPM under the initiative “मेरी Shiksha” for third-year students of B.Com., B.M.S., and B.A.F. programs at ICFAI Business School (IBS) - Mumbai. The session provided students with a comprehensive understanding of postgraduate management opportunities, essential skills, and the latest trends in higher education. Dr. Pritee Sanjeev Saxena, Director of IBS Mumbai, shared valuable insights during the event, which included a campus tour, discussions on Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) skills, an aptitude test, refreshments, and certificate distribution. The session enabled students to gain expert knowledge, engage in interactive discussions, and network with peers, helping them make informed decisions about their future educational paths.

On August 16th, 2024, the Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) committee held a Campus Placement Drive for the 2024-25 academic year. The drive was conducted by Recircle and was open to second and third-year students of B.Com., B.M.S., B.A.F., B.Sc. (I.T.), and B.Sc. (C.S.) programs. On August 13th, 2024, the Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) committee organized a Campus Placement Drive for the 2024-25 academic year. The drive was conducted by Bluestone Jewellery & Lifestyle and was open to 2023-24 graduates and current third-year students of B.Com., B.M.S., B.A.F., B.Sc. (I.T.), and B.Sc. (C.S.) programs. The event began with a Pre-Placement Talk by Mr. Mohit Kirado, City Director for Mumbai, and Ms. Alfeeya Siddiqui, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, followed by two rounds of interviews.

Rexus - Campus Placement Drive

On August 6th, 2024, the Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) committee held a Campus Placement Drive for the 2024-25 academic year. The drive was conducted by Rexus Group and was open to second and third-year students of B.Com., B.M.S., B.A.F., B.Sc. (I.T.), and B.Sc. (C.S.) programs. The drive began with a Pre-Placement Talk by Mr. Andrew Chettiar, the CEO, and Mr. Priyatham Yelle, the HR Manager, followed by two rounds of interviews.

Second Year Aptitude Training Program

Second Year Aptitude Training Program (50 Hours), a specially designed pre-placement initiative started by P.H.E and training aims at boosting the employability of all Second Year students. This comprehensive training program is structured to develop critical aptitude and life skills that are universally applicable across competitive examinations and diverse job profiles.The program will cover essential areas such as quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and verbal ability, equipping students with the tools needed to excel in various competitive environments. In addition to technical skills, the training will also focus on life skills such as effective communication, problem-solving, and time management. These skills are crucial for navigating job interviews and succeeding in professional settings. By participating in this program, students will gain a competitive edge, enhancing their ability to perform well in assessments and adapt to different professional challenges. The training aims to prepare students thoroughly for future career opportunities, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet the demands of the job market.

On August 2nd, 2024, the Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) committee organized a Campus Placement Drive for the 2024-25 academic year. The drive was conducted by USDC Pvt. Ltd. and was open to current third-year students of B.Com. and B.M.S. programs. The event began with a Pre-Placement Talk by Mr. Aditya Maithani, the Business Head, and Mr. Subodh Parte, the Executive HR, followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interviews.

On July 27th, 2024, the Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) department celebrated Placement Day, honoring the accomplishments of all placed students. This event was designed to recognize the achievements of our graduates, foster a sense of belonging, boost morale, and provide valuable networking opportunities for current students. Celebrating the transition from campus to corporate, the day highlighted the success of students who secured positions in reputed companies. As we always say, “Success is not just about landing a job; it’s about beginning a fulfilling career.” This event served to inspire and motivate students to embark on their professional journeys with confidence and enthusiasm.

On 16th July,2024, Placement & Higher Education (P.H.E.) committee organized First Campus Placement Drive for A.Y. 2024 - 25. Campus Drive was for the company named as USDC Pvt. Ltd.. The drive was for Current & Graduate students of B.Com., B.M.S., B.A.F., B.Sc.(I,T.) & B.Sc. (C.S.).

RPA Training Program

The RPA Training Program was organized for the Department of Information Technology and Computer Science ,commenced on 6th July 2024 and concluded on 21st September 2024. The objective of the program was to introduce 3rd-year students to Robotic Process Automation (RPA), with a specific focus on tools like UiPath, enabling them to understand how automation can be used to streamline processes in various industries. This training was designed to enhance students technical and professional skills, preparing them for the demands of modern IT and business environments.

अनम्यूट the Classroom - “On the journey called CORPORATE LIFE”

On June 15, 2024, Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts and Commerce (TRCAC) hosted "अनम्यूट the Classroom," a series of dynamic alumni interaction sessions aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world corporate experiences. Organized by the Placement and Higher Education (P.H.E.) Committee, the event featured alumni Mr. Raj Patel and Mr. Amey Badhiye from Deloitte USI, who shared invaluable insights on navigating corporate life. With 180 students from T.Y.B.Sc. (I.T.) and T.Y.B.Sc. (C.S.) actively participating, the sessions provided detailed knowledge about corporate environments, interview techniques, and the significance of higher education. The event successfully fostered significant guidance and mentorship opportunities, enhancing students' readiness for their professional journeys.
